Technology in the Classroom
Following the latest developments in the field of educational technology, our school is equipped with Interactive Whiteboards. “Smart” boards, that is, which are the latest technology and fascinate every student, presenting the learning process from a different angle.
Along with their books, students also receive an electronic version of their student book (e-book). Thus, lessons become alive, with videos, images and sound!
Our students prepare for the Cambridge KET / PET, Michigan ECCE / ECPE exams with mock exams with real teachers and authentic material, via Skype. In this way, students are well aware of the process before the exam, they know what to expect and we are able to spot their weaknesses and correct them in time. Skype lessons (Skype courses) are also available for adults and students.
Our school is fully connected wirelessly and students have internet access with a given password.
Summing up, at Bourtsoukli Language Centre we believe that technology helps to brush up or practice the English language at any time, so the tools we need are:
- Interactive Whiteboards
- Electronic books
- Computer lab
- Electronic platform
- Wi-Fi connection
A fully-organised Computer Lab is present as well, specifically for the educational needs of our students. It is equipped with cutting-edge computers and a large range of educational programs, to help learn English, French and German.
The Computer lab is also equipped with test programs as well as educational games. All programs are specifically designed for learning foreign languages. All our students should take the class once a week – and outside of normal teaching hours, at the day and time of their choosing.
Our lending library offers a range of graded books, magazines and teaching resources to support, encourage and develop student love for reading in English and French.
